Philoxia owns the mining rights to one of the world’s largest, richest and purest deposits of marl. Marl is a fine white clay powder, which has applications ranging from industrial, commercial, agricultural and to personal health. The whiteness of the marl deposit can be seen in the water pictures on previous pages. The marl continues inland for large portion of the land, under a three to four foot layer of black topsoil.

Health Applications of Marl
Over the past 25 years, Marl has been successfully applied time and time again, with miraculous results. It has been used to heal every major and minor external disease as well as many internal afflictions. Some of the amazing accomplishments accredited to our own applications is the rapid healing in entirety of varicose veins, poison ivy and oak, shingles, eczema, psoriasis, bruises, sprains, stomach abnormalities, liver and lung damage, inflammations, burns, sore muscles along with amazing results in totally curing different types of cancer when used in conjunction with proper diet and herbs.

Mudd Bathing
A feature that guests to Philoxia have always enjoyed is being able to go to our beach and apply a head to tow "Mudd Pack” utilizing the marl directly from the lake.

Even for a person who is not ill, this treatment has an amazing alkaline effect on the whole body. When a thin layer is applied to the skin and allowed to dry in the sun, the marl cleanses and detoxifies the entire surface and sub-surface cells and pores.

Most important, just swimming in this private lake energizes one and makes you feel young again. After swimming in this lake for just 15 minutes, your skin feels silky soft and totally rejuvenated.

Alkaline Mineral Drinking Water ~ Finest in the World!
Philoxia has a 125 ft. deep artesian well. The source of this water has been described as having a straw placed into an ancient river that has always run and always will. The pressure from this source brings the water to within 12-15 feet of the surface, making it very easy to bring up with a shallow submersible pump.

During extensive drought summers, this well has been used to service hundreds of people, a nursery, a zoo and extensive gardens, as well as all of our guests. It never showed any signs of being low or slowing up.

This water in all its essence is the purest, healthiest and tastiest mineral water remaining in the world today.
The water test from our well has a double "0” count of bacteria and is said to be one of the last largest sources of purely balanced, good tasting mineral waters in the world today.
