For over 20 years, Philoxia facilitated some 30,000 annual visitors who came to partake of their Gourmet Vegetarian Cuisine, the delicious Wood-fired Brick Oven Bakery treats.

The Philoxian Cuisine has been tried and proven for over the past 37 years to be appealing to a full cross section of people, be they vegetarian or meat eating, no matter what country they came from.

When Philoxia was open, over 70-80% of their restaurant, day or resort guests, were not vegetarian, however everyone who dined in one of their four dining halls, were thoroughly amazed and totally satisfied with the cuisine they received.

Many would even check us as to whether the dishes such as the burgers, cabbage rolls or ‘Steak au Poivre Flambe’ actually had meat in them. Au Contraire!

The items mentioned above and hundreds more, fill our cookbook (From Grits to Gourmet) illustrated with enticing visuals, intriguing stories and lots of information. It was way before its time and needs to be updated, spelt better and have some colour added.

Everyone who went through Philoxia's Restaurant received a special tour through their most amazing wood fired bakery, ovens and open fired grills which did the cookin' for the finest ‘Haute Cuisine, gourmet natural food restaurant in the World,,, as exclaimed by all who had the pleasure to dine,,, be they ‘Meat Heads' or veggie nuts.

Within their four very unique dining rooms,,, iilah and Tawlia would feed up to 285 people in one sitting,,, as all would feast on a mythical cuisine unrivalled on this planet. Tawlia and iilah have literally cooked for millions,,, and their Grits to Gourmet Cookbook sold to conscientious families around the world.
